A note from Nico

Why we’re building minitap.

NicoCo-founder & CEO

There’s a specific kind of heartbreak I keep coming back to: I shipped something, and my users didn’t want it.

It’s the moment an idea meets reality and you have to confront what you got wrong. Too many people either never reach that moment, or reach it so late that they give up. I think that is one of humanity’s biggest wastes.

I started minitap to shorten the distance between making something and learning the truth about it. If we can make that loop faster and less painful, more good ideas get the chance to become real.

Distance travelled matters more than credentials.
We care much less about where you studied or how impressive your starting point looks than how far you’ve already moved. Going from less than zero to something tells us a lot.
We make long-term bets on people.
You do not need to be a top performer on day one. We will give you trust and responsibility early if you have the drive to grow into them, and we will help you get there.
Make mistakes. Just learn from them.
Trying ambitious things means getting things wrong. That is fine. Making the exact same mistake twice is not.
There are no executive-only benefits.
If we need to be in San Francisco, we fly the team to San Francisco. Access, context, and meaningful experiences should not depend on your title.
Hiring takes the time it takes.
We intend to invest real time in you, so we put the same care into hiring. The process may involve a few conversations, so both sides know what they are committing to.
We hope you stay.
We are building for the long term and want to work with people who feel the same. The goal is not to fill a seat. It is to grow together for years.

Work with us

13 May 2026 · mini TVShow moreWe've released minitest. Minitest solves a problem every small to medium sized mobile team I've spoken to has felt. You're shipping faster than ever, AI wrote half the code and you're still holding your breath every release week because mobile punishes you asymmetrically. Once it's out, it's out. That's what minitest fixes. Mini owns your entire test suite from end to end, authoring, execution, triage and fix prompts included. Zero scripts, zero maintenance, and tests that survive any refactor. It runs the job a real user would run, on real iOS and Android devices. When something breaks, a session replay, device logs and a Cursor-ready fix prompt land in Slack before your standup. When nothing does, you get a green light and you ship. Cursor and Claude Code changed what engineers can build. minitest changes whether they can ship it. Every partner that books a demo now gets 50% off for the next year.
